In an earlier article, I made the case that the best book promotion advice I’ve heard in my 25+ years of publishing books and supporting authors and their entrepreneurial approaches to book marketing and sales was to do 5–10 things a day, every day, to promote your book.

But what kinds of things count as things and just how long does this take?

Below is a list of 50 types of things that you can draw your 5–10 items a day from. Customize it for your book and your life and add new ideas as you encounter them.

Once you get into the swing of things, you’ll see that this habit can be accomplished in 15–60 minutes per day, an investment that will pay off over time in book sales, book exposure, income, author opportunities, and author satisfaction. Keep it up for 3, 6, 12 months. Then 1, 2, 3, 5+ years, and be amazed at what your author life has become.
