A couple weeks ago, I presented a case study here on an actual 90-day sales-focused effort of doing 5 things a day, every day to promote one’s book for a book I’m helping a friend/client with, Seattle Neon.

Today, I present a 30-day plan of 5 Things a Day, Every Day with a sales and marketing focus for Carolyn Armstrong’s book, At the Edge of the Ice. Take a look and see what you notice about this approach. How can you apply it to your books, your situation, and your author goals?

  1. Create plan to promote the four awards the book has recently won. Add awards to website. Design an email signature that lists the four awards. Decide how awards will be incorporated into future press releases. Decide that next batch of postcards of book cover printed will include the awards. [Note: Creating lists, making firm decisions, selecting a path, brainstorming options, etc. are each concrete things that count towards Do 5 Things a Day. Wishing, dreaming, waffling, deliberately evading meaningful action through busy work, etc. are not.]
  2. Redesign postcards to include awards. Create plan to contact…
