Easy and brilliant — copy for your social media feeds
Anand Giridharadas (The Persuaders) is surely not the first author to open a box of their freshly minted books on video for PR purposes, but it’s the first of its kind that I have watched. And so I share it so that you can copy the idea and make it your own.
- No need to script anything or get fancy.
- Keep it short, sweet, and organic.
- At a bare minimum, show satisfaction at seeing your own book in print (!!), hold the cover to the screen, say the title, and mention two or three places the book is available for sale.
- Post everywhere you’re at — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, your own website, your own newsletter — and have your family, friends, and fans share it too.
- Relish the ease of video (even you can do it) and repeat.
