In Part 1 of this series, I explained four types of themes you can find in your book’s pages (the broadest theme, primary themes, tangential themes, and customer and reader themes), and dove into the first three of ten ways to max out these themes in your author sales and marketing efforts:

  • Social media
  • Book parties
  • Non-bookstore stores

Part 2 covered the next four ways to max out themes:

  • Volume sales
  • Your events
  • Other people’s events
  • Your classes

This final installment will look at the final three ways (other people’s classes, your tours, other people’s tours) and will summarize the series to conclude.

8. Other people’s classes

ABC. Always Be making Connections. How can other people, whether they teach kids, teens, college, or adult ed classes use your book with their students? Classes move multiple copies of your book at once.
