Ashort and sweet post for a short and SWeet mnemonic. SWSWSWSW. It’s my initials in quadruplicate, so I noticed it and I hope I don’t forget it because it’s a very useful frame for when you want someone to say yes, to buy goods or services from you, to become your customer, to make your day easier as an author.

You know that not everyone is going to fork over cash for your books. You know that it’s not reasonable for everyone you speak to to become a willing client for your services. You know that not every opportunity that comes knocking will bang your door down with prizes. You can’t toast marshmallows over every warm lead.

But SWSWSWSW is your counteragent. A perspective that neutralizes the emotional knots of twisted anticipation and frenzied…
