I put it all in the subtitle.

Sandy Doyle, Ed Di Gangi, and I each started building a backlist of podcast interviews in which we talk about our books, stories, and ideas in conversation with hosts — almost from our very first email pitches — and we keep on going.

That’s it. It’s easy enough. And you can do it too and begin reaping the exposure and rewards for your author life.

Case Study #1: Sandy Doyle

  1. How many podcasts have you been on? In what amount of time?

19 podcasts since March of 2024 (about 14 months). I have 2 more scheduled.

2. About what percentage of podcasts you pitch get back to you and have you come on the show?

About 75% of the podcasters get back with me. The more famous they are, the more they seem to lose you in the cracks.
