Even as I was trying to decipher what I was seeing and figure out my Taco Tuesday order at a hip fusion taco restaurant near me, I was in awe of the marketing brilliance I gathered was in front of me. January Collab of the Month.

Collab of the Month?

Oh, yes. On our table, along with the standard menu, was a menu-sized promotion for January’s Houseworks taco and cocktail of the month. Houseworks, what’s that? Why, flip over the menu and you’ll discover that Houseworks is a local real estate firm that does a, b, c, and here’s a QR code and their social links for you to like and learn more! It wasn’t sinking in right away, and I read the whole back side a second time. I took my attention and cognitive bandwidth away from the chips and salsa and read an ad for a real estate company twice. On date night.
