The next three author income types are about service models that can generate income for us as authors. Number ten is flat fee services — any service you provide clients that are billed at a flat rate.

Examples from the businesses of authors I know include:

• cover design
• ebook formatting
• creating digital funnels
• ghost writing
• coaching sessions
• illustrations
• website design
• marketing plans for small businesses/authors
• press release writing, media pitches
• book trailers
• copywriting (book cover copy, website content, brochures, newsletters, sales emails)
• speech writing

• The services are directly related to the skills you use in writing and publishing books.
• The services are directly related to the expertise and content of your books, especially relevant for nonfiction authors.
• The services are easily promoted through your author activities.
• Work in these areas easily come your way…
